B.Sc. Catering Science & Hotel Management

The Catering Science and Hotel Management Department is a member of HERA – The Hoteliers, Educators & Recruiters Association.
The department has well-equipped laboratories and enjoys a cordial relationship with the industry and leading hotel chains.

B.Sc. in Catering Science & Hotel Management is a three-year degree course comprising six semesters.

Special Features

B.Sc. Catering students are required to study French as their language under Part I.
In addition to regular laboratory sessions, students gain hands-on experience through food festivals, special workshops on vegetable carving,
flower arrangements, and other cookery competitions.

Internship: Students are required to complete an industrial training for four months in different departments of
five-star hotels. The department also offers assured placement assistance in reputed leading hotel chains in India and abroad.

MoU & Department Activities

  • Signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Crops NGO for conducting skill-oriented cooking classes for inmates in
    Central Prison, Coimbatore.
  • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management organized an International Webinar on
    “It’s All About Transit Hotel in Qatar”.
  • The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management inaugurated the
    “Cat a Glories” Association, and office bearers were selected for the academic year 2021 – 2022.
