Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

The Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) is an academic discipline focused on social welfare and social
justice. It is an ideal career choice for individuals who are passionate about helping others
address personal and social problems at the local, national, and international levels.

Special Features

The BSW programme is one of the few bachelor-level degrees that mandates an internship or field
placement. Social work is the only human service profession that recognizes the BSW as an
entry-level qualification for professional practice. Internationally, social work is also unique
in licensing or certifying practitioners at the bachelor’s level.

Internship

Students are required to undertake a mini project based on observations made during visits to
NGOs, hospitals, industries, and through concurrent fieldwork training. A detailed report must be
submitted for review and evaluation.
